
Martin R. Abroms, CPA, CVA
Professional Background
Mr. Abroms is the managing shareholder of Abroms & Associates, P.C., an affiliate of Abroms & Heflin Capital, LLC. He is involved in the valuation of businesses, business interests, and tangible and intangible property for the purposes of mergers and acquisitions, corporate recapitalization, gift and estate tax planning, dissenting shareholders, financial and tax reporting purposes.
Prior to forming Abroms & Associates, P.C., Mr. Abroms was Vice President and Assistant Treasurer of ANCO Management Services, Inc., Books-A-Million, Inc., Hibbett Sporting Goods, Inc., Anderson News Corporation, and other related corporations. Mr. Abroms’ responsibilities included corporate development, supervision of accounting, cash management, tax compliance and research, and employee benefits. From 1981 to 1984, he practiced as a senior tax specialist of an international accounting, auditing, and management consulting firm. While there, Mr. Abroms’ responsibilities included tax research and compliance with an emphasis on privately-held S corporations, and middle market audit and tax clients.
Mr. Abroms is a member in good standing of the following professional organizations:

- Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA)
- National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA)
Educational Background
Mr. Abroms received a BS degree in Accounting, summa cum laude from The University of North Alabama, Florence, Alabama. At graduation he was honored with the Keller Key Service Award, and Turis Fidelas (Highest Grade Point Average) Scholastic Award. Mr. Abroms is an Elijah Watts Sells Award recipient, an award given by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to the top 100 candidates scoring the highest grades on the CPA exam.
